3 years ago I gave birth to this amazing little boy. I never could have imagined the joy he would bring to my life. He is smart, silly, curious, inventive, kind, sensitive, sweet, persistent, knows exactly what he wants, rowdy, nurturing, the best big brother, affectionate, marches to the beat of his own drum and we wouldn't trade him for anything! We love you to pieces!
Happy, Happy, Happy 3rd b-day to our little man.
Joshua is such a fun, smart, witty little guy or as Uncle Andrew refers to him, the class clown. He has a big imagination and even bigger heart! He is sharp as a tack and is never lacking with questions. He is a deep thinker and makes us say, "WOW did he really just say/ask that?" at least 5 times a day. He loves books, going to the library, trains, Mickey Mouse, going to the park, hiking, climbing, riding his ride on toys outside, being chased, playing tag, playing with the neighborhood kids, and eating snacks. He also loves his family, being goofy, belly laughing (which is so contagious) and being a big brother.
He are some pictures of Joshua during the last 3 months.
Taking his cars through the car wash.
All clean.
Botanical Gardens selfie with Omah, Papa, Aunt Anna, and Uncle Andrew.
Mixing colored water.
Making a rain cloud.
Looking at the "rain" coming out of the cloud.
Now playing and making a mess. Hey, that is science right?
He enjoys cooking with me though I think he likes taste tasting more then the actual cooking part. Whenever he helps me cook I hear, "can I take a taste?" at least 30 times.
Happy Happy Happy!
Joshua all the way at the top of the web.
Jumping at his favorite place, Jump Street.
He was so proud that he could climb in to Kayla's high chair all by himself.
Feeding the ducks.
Just being silly.
Don't you read with your pj bottoms and a beanie on your head?
Watching TV in Mommy and Daddy's bed.
He has gotten very attached to Poor Dog recently. He used to just sleep with him and then leave him in his crib for the day but now Poor Dog goes everywhere with him and he plays with him a lot more. We randomly hear him saying, "I love my Poor Dog" as he gives him a big hug. Poor Dog has really come alive to Joshua. Joshua told me that Poor Dog is his kid.
One day when Kayla and I went in to get Joshua up I said to Kayla, "Go get Joshua a book" and she brought over his underwear which Joshua thought was so hilarious. Then when I said it again she brought over his shirt. That became a fun game for the two of them for a while. Here she is handing him his clothes.
Building a number ice cream cone. So proud of his work!
Checking for wild life.
This was a favorite activity for a few days that kept him busy for a while. I put shaving "snow" (shaving cream) on the train tracks and his tractor would come and clear it off for his cars.
Joshua is very into Forts. He loves building them in his crib.
Playing in Joshua's fort.
I love when he brings me flowers and dried up leaves and tells me to put them in water.
A boy in all his glory...
Keeping busy "planting" in his garden tub complete with black beans for dirt and his own gardening tools.
Planting grass seed.
Watering his grass.
He rigged this up all by himself and then told me, "Mommy, I'm a tow truck!"
Happiest 3rd b-day to you Joshua! We love you and your tenacious, inquisitive personality. We are so thankful for you and are blessed that we get to spend our days watching him grow up.
My prayer for you is that you remain strong and courageous in the Lord boldly leading others to Him!
Joshua's 3 year old Stats...
We had his 3 year well visit Mud July. While there the nurse was asking what kind of milk (whole, 2%, fat free etc.) him and Kayla drink. When I told her that they don't really drink milk she asked how they get their calcium. I said cheese and yogurt. Then Joshua piped in saying in a long drawn out way like he was listing things off, "String cheese, square cheese." Goofy boy!
