· At his two month check-up he weighed 11lbs 4 oz and was 23 inches long. The doctor said he was gaining weight beautifully. The doctor also said he is a “bright baby.” But of course we already knew that ;)
· We decided to follow a modified vaccination schedule. He will get fully vaccinated just at a slower pace as we are splitting the shots up. He received the DTaP at his 2 month visit and did not even flinch and was smiling and talking away later that day. What a champ! He even giggled for the first time that night.
· He has been wearing his 3 month old clothes for a few weeks now.
· He has been sleeping for 5-6 hours stretches at night pretty consistently and will even do 7 hour stretches a few times a week. He gets up to nurse then sleeps another 3-4 hours.
· He is really smiley and talkative when he wakes up in the morning which just melts my heart. We lay there and have a good conversation that consists of lots of smiles (from both of us) for about 15 minutes.
· He bats at his toys on his play mat. I will be doing the dishes and I hear the rattle toy over and over.
· He has a really strong neck and almost has full control over it. He is almost ready for his Bumbo chair.
· He is smiling and talking like crazy. He smiles and talks up a storm while on the changing table getting his diaper changed. He also loves to stare out the window that is right next to his changing table.
· He has rolled over from tummy to back. He did it for the first time at just over 5 weeks, then again at 6 weeks.
· Nursing is going well. We hit a bump in the road a few weeks ago but after meeting with a lactation consultant we figured things out and are going strong.
· It seems his looks change daily. I think he is starting to look more and more like his daddy.
· He LOVES lights and the ceiling fan. He loves staring out the windows or looking up at the lights in the house. When I take him to the grocery store he stays mesmerized by all the bright lights they have while I get groceries. He also stares at the ceiling fan regardless if it is on or off.
· He tracks us with his eyes. I love when other people are holding him how he will stare at me. I love that he knows who I am! Dan was pushing his stroller one night on a walk. Joshua would look at his Daddy then at me, then back at his Daddy and back at me and so on. It was so cute!
· He really enjoys the outdoors. That’s definitely my boy!
· He has a really good temperament. As long as he is well rested and fed he is a very content baby.
Joshua has been so much fun to watch grow and develop. We just love this little guy! He fills our hearts with so much joy! I am so thankful God chose us to be his parents!
He loves bath time
Meeting his cousins. I love how each baby is looking in a different direction at their own Mama.
Meeting his Auntie Anna.
What a strong neck!

1st 4th of July. Our neighborhood holds a big 4th of July party at the park. Mom entered the Apple Pie Contest and came in 2nd!
"I fold!"
A visit from our Doula, Jill.
Picnic at the library while Daddy takes a break from studying.
Joshua was having a hard time napping. He was just so interested in the world around him that I think he was having a had time shutting everything out. We discovered that he sleeps so much better with a blanket over the swing.
