September

Joshua ;earned how to ride his bike without training wheels!  A few months back he wanted to take off his training wheels so we did.  He was able to ride short distances by himself but needed help starting and stopping.  Even though he could ride by himself and was catching on fast he stopped wanting to practice.  It was sad because before we took off the training wheels he loved riding his bike. Finally I bribed him and told him if he rode around the cul de sac all by himself with no help, starting and stopping all by himself,  I would give him 2 quarters AND we would go to the chocolate store.  So he did it and we haven't been able to get him off his bike since!  He gets up in the morning, does all his morning time chores so that he can ride his bike after breakfast.  One funny story, while practicing- after a fall he was so discouraged and told me, "I am never riding my bike again, not even in heaven!"

She put this headband on and said she looked like Aunt Brienna (who wears headbands a lot).

Joshua spotted an owl in a tree.

Story time.  They love Mr. Cliff if you can't tell.

On windy days the Joshua likes making kites with plastic bags and string.

Candyland.  The kids really like playing games.  Playing Memory and Go Fish with Kayla is the cutest thing even.  She is so thrilled to give you a card during Go Fish.

This started out as a whole apple, and then Levi got a hold of it.

Bike ride with Daddy.  Still can't believe my boy is this old.

We took the big kids to their first Rockies game.  They had a blast.  I think they most enjoyed all the snacks.  I have memories of going to baseball games with my dad as a young kid.  I also really enjoy baseball so this was a lot of fun for me to introduce my kids too.

Kayla told Joshua, "thank you for holding my hand so I don't get scared."

Currently they play camping a lot.

Camping with all her babies.  See the real baby in the back?

Building a zoo together.

Final product.

Playing one of my favorite games as a kid.

This picture is from about 13 years ago.  J asked, "Who are these people?"  You know you are getting old when your kids don't recognize older pictures of you.

Still makes my heart race playing this game.

Fun Aunt Amy came to visit!  Have I mentioned that I have the best sister ever?!  As soon as I told her Daniel was scheduled to be out of town for a week long business trip she offered to come stay with me to help out with the kids.

Daniel's trip ended up getting cancelled but Amy still came anyway and we had way too much fun.  If you read my post from her visit back in May then you know that there was a lot of laughing.  She is one funny girl.

Two peas in a pod...seriously, they are so much alike.

Fun at the Reservoir.

Little miss was locked out!

Celebrating Levi

The day before Levi's actual b-day we had a party with the family.

The kids wanted to make him a bug and car cake since those are two of his favorite things.

We were so happy that fun Aunt Amy could be here to celebrate our little man!

Right before guest started to arrive everyone (but Levi) was outside playing and taking  pictures.  Levi decided this would be a good time to pull up a chair and taste his cake.  His face is priceless.  When we walked in he said, "uh-oh."  I couldn't  help but laugh at that sweet b-day boy.  #makingmemories

Hiding from Aunt Amy's camera.

He was thrilled with the candles.  He said, "On!"

He was concerned as to why they weren't on anymore.

I think he liked the cake!

Watching him open presents was a lot of fun.  He knew what it was all about.

He got right to playing with his new truck.

Showing off his new car.

We loved celebrating this sweet boy!  And I think he liked being celebrated...when I was brushing his teeth that night he was singing Happy B-day.

The next day, his actual b-day he was sick with a fever and upset tummy.  He was sick on his b-day last year too :(

Our first tip off was when he hardly ate any of his b-day pancakes.

Testing out his new tent.

Sickie baby snuggles.
