February

Joshua always amazes us with his Lego building skills. He got a few Lego books from the library.  If he doesn't have the pieces to build what he needs (which he usually doesn't, they are usually a lot of specialty pieces) o problem for him.  He can still make it work.

He worked so hard on this castle which was completely his own idea. It has so much detail, the picture doesn't do it justice.

Playing with a building kit that used to be Daddy's when he was a kid.

The 100th Day of School.  I told him to smile and he said, "old men don't smile!" HA!

Scouts singing at an assisted living home.

Levi is Daddy's little buddy.  He just loves, loves helping him do projects.  Lucky for him there have been lots of projects to work on with this kitchen remodel :)

Kayla has such a goo imagine and always seems to find just what she needs.  Here they were eating on stools because the chairs were  being used to make a fort.  She instantly thought about using one of their toy tubs for a table.

They had a blast at their first My Gym class.  During one of the classes Levi would clap his hands together once after he completed each obstacle as if he was saying, "yea, I nailed it!"

I love this picture.  They have the whole rub to sit on and they choose to sit right next to each other.

The Daddy Daughter Dance!!!!  Kayla has been looking forward to this dance since the day after last year's dance.  This is one of her FAVORITE events!!!  She is our little dancer and has some really sweet moves.  They stayed all the way to the end this year and Kayla had a blast dancing the night away.

Her brothers were so excited for her telling her how pretty she looked.

Joshua reading to his brother and sister.

Playing a game together.

 Happy Valentine's Day!
Daddy surprised them with treats in the morning.

 Making our annual heart pizzas.

Joshua teaching his friend how to paly his new favorite board game.

Current kitchen status.

Skateboarding with her tutu.  I love how she can be as girly as can be but still can keep up with the boys.

Great Wolf Lodge

We took a mini family vacay to Great Wolf lodge and had an absolute blast.  We stayed two days and one night which was perfect for this stage of life.

Joshua had been counting down the days for a while.  In the mornings he would circle the current day and then at bed time he crossed it off and was sure to tell us how many more days was left until Great Wolf Lodge.

Kayla's pose!!!

Sent this picture to my sister who was vacationing in Mexico at the time...not quite the same view she had.

This place had so much fun stuff for the kids to do.  They had character appearances, pj dance party, craft time, story time, wolfercise, and so much more.

Levi is saying, "I bet I can wrestle you."  And he probably really believes that he can.

Levi double fisting at breakfast.

This was Levi's first time to stay at a hotel.  He could not get over the fact that we were going to sleep there.  I think sleeping there was one of his favorite parts.  He would often ask to go to sleep.

Sleepy boy.

Playing the Magiquest game.  His wand makes things light up.

The swimming area was so much and had so much to offer.  Joshua was tall enough to do a couple of the bigger slides and he had an absolute blast.  He swam for about 6 hours straight on the second day and he would have kept on swimming if we let him.  That boy is a fish.

Kayla and Levi had so much fun playing in the water play area together that had 3 pretty good sized slides for them.  Levi was so funny to watch going down the slides.  He was so serious about.  He'd walk up the stairs, go down the slide, and go straight back up the stairs to do it all over again without any hesitation or thought to anything else.  He was on a mission.

They all loved the wave pool.  The wave pool is the first thing we all did when we got there and seeing there faces and how much fun they were having made this trip worth every single penny.  At one point I lost track of Levi.  He was playing in the play water play area and disappeared.  I found him hanging out in the wave pool just going up and down with the waves just chilling.  He is fearless!

It is really freeing being out of the stage where the kids don't NEED to take a nap or have rest time.  They do really well over all but Kayla and Levi both had times where they wanted to take a little break and relax.  I would too If I was swimming non stop for hours.

Joshua and Daddy doing the ropes course.

Towards the end of the second day Levi crashed on me.  He slept for well over an hour on me.

Still snoozing.

Such a fun, fun, time.  We are going to make this an annual family getaway.  Looking forward to next year!
