J's birth

As I was looking through my first blog book I realized that I don't have a post from our stay in the hospital when Joshua was born.  How could that be?   So here are those pictures.

Shortly after Joshua was born they whisked him away to the nursery because his oxygen was low.  He spent several hours under the "bubble" as we called it.
Daniel left to go get some food.  He was gone for what seemed like forever.  He told me, "Sorry.  I stopped by to see Joshua and he grabbed hold of my finger and I couldn't walk away."  LOVE!

Visitors. (Mimi was out of town during Joshua's birth so she didnt make it to the hospital to see him.)

Love Aunt Sydney's expression here.

Joshua spit up quite a bit in the hospital.  We had to suction the spit up so he wouldn't choke.  It had us pretty concerned being first time parents.  Daniel really stepped up and took over all the little jobs like this.  And have I ever mentioned that I didn't change Joshua's diaper until like he was 2 weeks old.  Daddy did them all the first couple of weeks.

Getting checked over by our Pediatrician.

Dr. Studabker, our first pediatrician.  We loved her!
But had to switch offices when Joshua was about
9 months old because she was just too far away.

"Let's go home!"
