Levi's 3 Month Update

Levi is 3 months old and continues to be such a happy and content baby.

Here is what he is up to at 3 months old.

*He smiles and talks all the time.

*He is laughing more and more. I love when he laughs at his siblings.

*He loves playing with his tongue and thinks it's funny when you stick your tongue out at him.

*He hates tummy time and doesn't spend very much time doing it because who wants to hear a screaming baby on top of all the toddler noise?

*In my last post I wrote about him waking around 5am and the only way he would go back to sleep was if I brought him into bed with me.  I am happy to announce that he no longer wakes to come into my bed.  While I am glad that phase is over it was such a sweet time with him and a great memory I will cherish forever.

*He likes sucking on his hands.

*He is really starting to notice his siblings and enjoys watching them run around and play.

He sports this 'do everyday.  We comb it after every bath
but once it dries it sticks right back up.

My sous chef.

Cuddling with his big bro in Mama's bed.

This little guy lights up our lives!

November 2014

A quick update on the big kids.

Joshua:
*We read our first chapter book with Joshua and have started a second one.  He loves it!
*He is really into numbers, counting and is starting to pick up on the concept of addition.
*When he gets up in the morning he goes downstairs and does his Christmas count down, turns on all the Christmas lights and then plays until his light on his clock turns on which means it is okay to come into my room.  He even got one of his DVDs going on time.  I am thinking about teaching him how to make breakfast so he can have it ready for me when I get up, LOL!
*When we walk Joshua to timeout he tells us, "No sir! No Sir!"  He uses his manners even as he is being disciplined...except he doesn't say it very nicely at all.

Kayla:
*Her new phrase that she says that I just think is hilarious is, "____ are you?!"  It's so funny how she says it.
* One day Kayla was trying to tell us that she was hungry and that she wanted to eat so she said, "Eat! Me!"  Joshua thought that was hilarious!
*She copies everything her big brother does and I mean everything.
* She counts to two and often gets stuck on two.  "1, 2, 2, 2...."
*She will randomly get Joshua's water bottle and bring it to him.  Also, when I am getting them a snack and I hand her hers she will walk it over and give it to Joshua and then come back for hers.
*She really likes sitting on her potty chair.  She pees on most nights before bed.  Recently she was fussing at me that she needed to go potty.  I actually didn't know what she was trying to tell me but Joshua knew.  So I put her on the potty and she went.
*A couple times she has gone over to the spot where J gets time-out and started fake crying.  Hilarious!
*When you give her something she says, "you're welcome" (elcome) instead of thank you.

We celebrated Joshua's buddy's b-day at Jump Street.

Helping Mama do the dishes.

We celebrated Daniel's 33rd b-day.
On Sunday we celebrated with Daniel's favorite 3 F's: family, football, and food.

Then on the day of his actual b-day the kids and I made him one of his favorite dinners, which is meatloaf, and a chocolate chip cookie cake.

Joshua thought the cookie cake was the neatest thing.
His face when he saw the cookie come out of the oven was priceless.

Joshua and I joked about eating the whole cookie by ourselves and Joshua said Daddy would be sad and say, "I am 33 and no cake."

They loved singing to him.

Notice the two bites gone at the bottom?  I would blame
J but it wasn't all his fault. HEE-HEE!  Joshua worked
hard decorating one of the 3's with chocolate chips.

Joshua has become quite the expert air plane builder.
He calls them "fly-its" and he whips them up in no
time complete with front wings and tail wings.  It is quite impressive.

Joshua has gotten into being a superhero and loves flying around his his "cape."

The kids each packed a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child.

We had the neighbor boys over to make ornaments.  Afterwards they played with the leftover dough.  It was brown and what do you know they all made poop.  BOYS!

We had a stretch of bitterly cold days.  To burn energy the kids climbed on pillows and loved it.

Another thing we did was made a spider web for them to crawl over and under.

Then when it finally warmed up enough to go outside we played in the snow.  (It's all fun and games until someone slips on the ice and gets hurt).

For a few days straight, pushing strollers outside in
the cul-de-sac was both of their favorite things to do.

Keeping herself busy while Mom makes lunch. Am I the only
Mom who sometimes pretends they don't see things like this and
instead takes advantage of the silence to do something like make lunch in peace...with no whining...and no one begging to be held?!?!

Joshua really wanted to go grocery shopping with me one day.
When I asked him why he said, "because I love you."

 Star Lighting.

We are trying out a new church and I guess once a month
they don't have Sunday school and the little kiddos sit in church
with Mom and Dad.  Joshua did awesome!

 Selfies with my boy!

 Fun with TP rolls.

This picture cracks me up.  At first glance it looks like Dan is trying
to rush over and save the crashing tower.

Happy Thanksgiving 2014

We started thanksgiving morning out by watching Daniel and Uncle Andrew play in annual church Turkey Bowl.  Joshua was so excited to watch.  He brought his microphone and told me, "I am going to say, 'go Broncos! Go Daddy and Uncle Andrew!'"  He really thinks highly of their playing skills to lump them together with the Broncos.

Daniel was QB.

Of course Joshua had to find the perfect spot for
Poor Dog to watch from the car.

Miss Kayla LOVES footballs.  Daddy is sure proud!

They were still playing when we left so Joshua said on the way home, "Should we go home and watch them on t.v.?"

Later in the afternoon my Mom and sisters came over for dinner.  A good time was had by all!

When Joshua saw the turkey platter he said, "That is the biggest plate I have ever seen."

I lined the table with paper to write on.  We wrote down what
we were thankful for, played a few games and of course there was some doodling.

Sydney's duck lips.

Sydney laughing at Dan's duck lips.  I love this picture.
It truly depicts their relationship.  Sydney has always been Dan's
little side kick and has always thought he is hilarious.

Mimi showing off Levi's turkey bum.

Joshua sure did like his pie!  He said, "This is an even "gooder" pie."

Levi mimics you when you stick out your tongue.

Silly sisters.

 Levi's first Thanksgiving.

Watching some football.

Turkey makes us tired.

After dinner Mimi made a gingerbread house with Joshua and Kayla.

Kayla trying to snag some candy.

The finished product.

So much fun and so much to be thankful for.
