January 2016

Kayla:
* We realized that Kayla has the sweetest East Coast accent.  She pronounces things like bay for boy and bair for bear.
* When I picked her up from the nursery at MOPS one day the teacher said, "we played with babies for a couple of hours."  When I asked if she shares those babies the teacher said, "No one else is really interested in playing with the babies but we did have an incident where she put the baby someplace (my bet is she put it to sleep) and someone moved it so now we know we just don't touch Kayla's babies."
*When we read a book she is really into people/characters facial expressions and if one seems sad Kayla automatically gets concerned with, "where's her mommy?"
*When she gets upset at Levi for taking a toy from her she orders me to, "put him in jail!"
*Kayla thinks that because she is a big girl that she also just a big sister, she is not Joshua's little sister.

Levi:
*This giant boy still isn't walking much.  He occasionally will walk short distances but mainly crawls.  The other day I was looking at him crawling round outside and I just kept thinking how he looks entirely too big too be crawling.
*When he hears music he will stand up and just start squatting over and over really fast.  He has perfect squat form too.  Sure, he can do 10 fast squats but he wont walk :)
*I like to refer to Levi as the child who thinks, "anything my older siblings can do I can do too!"
*He cracks himself up and us, by making raspberry noises on his fist.  He gets real serious, blows a raspberry, laughs his deep laugh, then gets serious again to repeat.
*When on older sibling takes a toy from him he looks at me and points to them like he is telling on them.

Joshua:
*J has been super into dinosaurs lately.
*He plays the who would win game all day long.  By that I mean he picks two animals and then asks me who would win.  Sometimes he will ask, "who would win... all the cheetahs in the world minus 2 or all the lions in the world."  If I say all the lions he repeats himself, "no all the cheetahs minus just two." Then I know I gave him the answer he didn't want.
*Joshua has officially stopped napping *sigh*  I still make him have quiet time in his room though which is good for both of us :)

He moved the chair over, climbed up, and started doing the dishes.

Love!

Kayla said, "I'm making traffic."

Levi watching Joshua and the neighborhood boys do his stomp rocket and was cracking up!

Loves slides.

3 big babes in the tub.

Joshua has someone to play his "who would win game."

Kayla trying to read to her little bro who wont sit still.

All my friends without kids, enjoy your peaceful movie nights while you can.  Soon this is what they will look like.  Watching the Gruffalo.  Levi wanted in on the action but couldn't sit still.

Poking J in his eyes.  J is a pretty tolerant big bro.

Sleeping beauty.

We had a b-day party for Bear and Poor Dog (who has now been named Little Foot).

Football training.

 Snow creations.

Levi's first time coloring.

The work of my little engineer.  Joshua was trying to make a light switch. After he had everything all taped to the wall he asked Daniel for some wire and then a light bulb.  He really thought it was going to work.  Naturally, after this experiment we had to get some books on Thomas Edison from the library.  Reading about Thomas Edison as a boy totally reminded me of Joshua.  This kid is going to invent something some day.

Daddy teaching the kids how to unclog the kitchen sink.  Mom put a bunch of eggs shells down the drain...again.

Joshua with his youngest cousin.

Silly selfies with Mama and her girl.

Enjoying one of their favorite snacks, pistachios.  Joshua cracks them open for the both of them.  Kayla calls them, "the snack Mimi gave us."  Because Mimi is the one who introduced them to pistachios.

He kept giggling during his haircut.

Kayla really does have her own real baby doll.

This is what romance looks like with 3 little kids :)

I am not sure if he is right handed or left...he is holding the spoon in his left hand and eating with his right hand ;)

I took Kayla with me to the thrift store one day and she just loved playing with all the toys.  It wasn't long before she had all the babies placed in the baby equipment.  She didn't ask for a thing and when it was time to go she cleaned things up that she didn't even play with.

Omah and Papa watched all three kids for 2 nights and two days while Daniel and I relaxed and recharged.  We went skiing and had such an amazing time.  It was so much fun just doing what we wanted when we wanted.

Omah sent us this picture while they were staying at her house.  Daniel and I both agreed that this picture perfectly captures each of our kids personalities.  J is in the zone creating and designing, Kayla just looks so sweet, and Levi really wants to be doing what the big kids are doing.
