April Recap

Here is a look at all the fun April brought us.

We sold our home... and apparently our car too ;)

Whenever Joshua played in the front yard our sold signs always
ended up on the car.  He would tell me, "don't take them off when you go somewhere."

While the buyers of our house were having the house inspected the kids and I went and spent the day at my Mom's house since we couldn't be home during the inspection.

Here is Joshua getting ready for his nap in Aunt Sydney's bed.  He was totally jazzed to take a nap in her bed.  This was his first time napping in a big kid bed.

Kayla found the goods in Mimi's pantry.  Unfortunately for her, she
couldn't reach the yummy stuff so she had to settle for the dog food.

This girl is into EVERYTHING!  Escpcially when I am trying to cook.  When we put our house on the market we took down the baby gate for showings and never put it back up so we blocked the stairs with boxes.  It didn't take long for her to figure out how to climb over the boxes to make her way up the stairs.
Trying to keep her out of things so I could get dinner made.

Daddy and Joshua had their second movie night together.  The first was Toy Story and time they watched Finding Nemo.  It took them 3 nights to finish it because Joshua looses interest after about 30 minutes.  About every 10 seconds he asked a question about what was happening or what was going to happen.  Everyday he was so excited to watch Finding Nemo after dinner.  Our doctor's office has a fish tank with a Nemo and Dori fish.  Since watching the movie Joshua thinks it is so neat to see  Nemo and Dori swim around in the tank.

 Warmer weather...some days.

April in Colorado means it can be 70 degrees one day and snowing the next.  It's like Mother Nature plays April Fools jokes on us all month long.  But the days it is nice you can find us taking walks and picnicking at the park.

Now would be a really good time for Sister Girl to start walking.  I had to designate a specific pair of jeans as her outside jeans to avoid putting holes in all her other pants.  Her outside pants are pretty holy.

During one of our park trips I was talking to another Mom and Joshua yells to me from across the playground, "Mommy, it's fun to have a friend" as if he was so proud of me for making a new friend at the park.

Kayla thinks rocking on this with Joshua is
the best thing ever.  She giggles and giggles.

Daniel got called into hiss boss's office one day and was told that they were impressed with all his hard work and that they had Rockies tickets for opening day to give him as a pat on the back.  The best part was Daniel's reaction.  The first thing he said was, "My wife will love this!"

We had amazing seats, six rows from the field on the third base line!  We made a whole day out of it by going to lunch before the game while Omah and Papa took the kiddies for the day.

This is probably the closest I will ever get to Tulo in my life!

Joshua discovered how much he loves hiking in Omah and Papa's backyard.  Every time we go to their house he asks to go hiking.

Moving!  We moved the end of April and for the most part everything went pretty smooth.  Joshua and Kayla have adjusted really well to their new home.  Joshua will randomly say, "I like our new house."  The first night in our house he was going around asking where things where that the previous owner had in the house.  It had been about a month since he saw the house yet he still remembered where the previous owner stored things.

Joshua LOVED the moving truck.  When he and Daniel pulled up in it he was beaming from ear to ear!

He liked going up the ramp and would even ride
his Power Wheel car up it.

While they loaded the truck with boxes he sat inside the
truck reading a book he had found.

During the first week in our house we were downstairs and I told him to go potty.  When he started heading up the stairs I said to him, "go down here."  He looked at my confused and asked, "Where?  Show me."  Guess I failed to give him an official tour of the house.

Looking forward to what the month of May will bring in our new home!
