Levi and I had a great weekend too. It was so nice to enjoy some peace and quiet and to spend one on one, uninterrupted time with Levi. One child, especially a baby, is a piece of cake!!! I got a bunch of little projects done, ran some errands, met up with my step dad for sushi, enjoyed the peace and quiet, and read an entire book, yes an entire book. This particular book has been been sitting on my couch and I have been meaning to get to it but just haven't had the time. Gee, I wonder why I haven't had the time to just sit and read.
As peaceful as our weekend was we sure did miss our Joshua boy, Kayla girl and Daddy. When they got home Levi was napping. When I brought him down stairs after he woke up he heard Daniel talking and got real serious like "I haven't heard any one's voice except Mama's the last 2 days." Then when he saw Daddy he was so happy and he reached out for him for the first time. Precious!
The kids spent the weekend playing with cousins, swimming, playing at the park, looking at cows, throwing rocks in a pond, and probably one of the highlights was visiting the golfing crew and driving the golf cart around.
And the winners of the golf tournament were Papa, Daniel and Uncle Kirk.
Trophy made by Uncle Andrew.
The winners.
Of course Joshua loved wrestling with Willem. I heard Willem was so good wrestling with the little kids and I believe it as he always is anytime we get together.
Love the look on Willem's face (or as Kayla calls him, "um.")
COWS!
Aunt Anna, Kayla and cousin Jeremiah.
Joshua, River, and Kayla.
Skipping rocks...hey it's what you do in a small town.
Papa showing the kids how it's done.
And of course they crashed on the way home.
Daniel has so many fun memories from going to Holyoke all growing up and it has been so much fun for him to now watch his kids create fun memories at the same place.
