Johsua's First Day Ever of School

My baby started Kindergarten this month.  He was really excited and we were excited for him.

It was a bittersweet time for me.  I was happy for him but I was also weepy watching a big piece of my heart move into this next stage of life.

I actually know his teacher from my workout classes at the rec center.  Small world.

Meet the teacher night...

The big day... his first day of school.  He was so brave and excited.  The second week of school he was already asking for me to drop him off in the kiss and go lane and not walk him in. He really likes being independent.

Mom trying to get a kiss and being denied.

Had to make Joshua clean out his pockets before school..

Sister girl wanted to bring a backpack of her own.

There goes my heart.  So brave and fearless.

One of these does not belong.

Cute story...So when Daniel was in kindergarten he came home with a crush on a girl name Angie.  He laid on the living room floor and talked about her red velvet dress and said he couldn't get her out of his mind.  Well, Joshua came home and told us about his first friend he made, Marisela.  At dinner time he told us about the dress she was wearing :)  The next day he told us how at first he didn't recognize her because shew as wearing a purple dress this time. They have recess right before dismissal so we showed up a little early to watch him on the playground.  We watched him and Marisela play together on the playground.  They were swinging and when she got off and ran off somewhere else, he followed. When they blow the whistle they are suppose to freeze and out their hands on their knees.  So when they blew the whistle, he froze and put his hands on his knees but then real fast ran and got closer to Marisela and then froze again ad put his hands on his knees.  Awe, my boy, so sweet.
