Joshua told me this story about a recent visit to the park. He told me while he was trying to climb a challenging rope contraption he told himself, "If I just trust God than I can climb this." Oh, be still my heart. There are so many things I love about this story. I love that he told me this all on his own the day after it happened (that tells me that it meant something to him), I love that he is exercising his faith in a big way for a (then) 4 year old, I love that he is absorbing and putting into practice Biblical truths, I love that I was able to use this example and talk to him about bigger life issues where we need to remind ourselves of this, and I love that he gave me an example to live by when I face life's challenges.
I told him to always remember that, to always remember that whenever he faces something hard in life to remember that if he trusts God than he can do it and then to think about that special time at the park.
Faith like a child!
