We hosted my Mom and sisters for Thanksgiving and we had such a great time.
Daniel started the day at playing in the annual Turkey Bowl with Andrew and their team won first place. Meanwhile, the kids and I watched the parade which they thought was really neat.
Wearing our new matching aprons. I love how they turned out and I love this sweet little helper.
Nothing like a little sibling competition.
31 years old and my poor mom still cant get all her kids to pose nicely for a picture :)
She is freakishly strong...both her and Brooke are.
The brothers lovin' on Trio.
And apparently we had a conversation about teeth over dinner.
After dinner nap.
The next couple of days were spent putting up Christmas decorations. The kids had an absolute blast helping. They were so joyous.
The two favorite songs of the weekend were Jingle Bells and Carol of the Bells. Kayla would ask how Carol of the Bells went so she could sing it herself. Another favorite was Baby It's Cold Outside to which they would sing, "Baby it's cold outside...you'll melt!"
When Levi saw the tree he said, "OOOHHHH!" Surprisingly he has been very good about not tearing all the ornaments off.
When Kayla woke up the morning after we decorated she looked around at all our decorations and said, "It's still Christmas time!"
Playing with our homemade cinnamon playdoh.
I love their Christmas train.
Kayla and Joshua's tree. Last year before Christmas Joshua found this stick and wedecided it would be the perfect tree to hang his ornaments on so we saved it for Christmas and it was such a hit that we saved it again to use again this Christmas. They were so excited about their tree. They spent so much time decorating it and not a whole lot helping me with the big tree. They did love taking out all of my ornaments and oohing and awing over them. Kayla would pull out an ornament and say, "I remember this one" or "remember this one Joshua?"
I love this picture. They are playing with the manger scene which they both enjoyed. Kayla especially likes Baby Jesus and walks around cradling Him.
Decorating her felt tree.
In the midst of our decorating Daniel replaced our kitchen light. Levi saw an opportunity to climb the ladder and took it without hesitation and boy is he a fast climber!
"That's a long ways down."
We gave Joshua an old digital camera of ours. He loves it. Here he is taking pictures on of the Lowes runs we had to do for Christmas décor. Daniel said he was so excited and would say things like, "OOH they do have it" and then take a picture of whatever it was he was referring too.
