WOW, November flew by. I guess time flies when you're having fun...and when you have 3 kids that keep you on your toes.
Updates on the kids...
Levi:
*Mimics you when you say ouch and the last part of the word is the cutest thing ever!
*He started saying "uh-oh!" When he drops something on the floor he looks down and say, "Uh-oh!"
*Body parts he knows are head, nose, tongue, belly, and ear. He also knows where his eyes eye which Joshua taught him. When you ask him where a body part is he will point to it and then he immediately starts clapping for himself. Sometimes he gets a little ahead of the game and will start clapping before he points to the body part.
*He is seriously SO happy. He is so happy that he randomly laughs for no reason at all. We will all just be eating dinner and then he starts laughing. He also does this laugh where he scrunches his face up. We have a sun beam that shines through the kitchen window in the am. Well, one morning I walked right through the beam causing the sun to shine right in his eyes. What did he do when the sun got in his eyes?? He laughed of course.
*He claps, waves, blows kisses, folds his hands when we pray, and signs more (unprompted), please (prompted), and is starting to sign all done when prompted.
*Kayla is our late sleep and is the last one up in the mornings. Levi loves going upstairs with me to get her. When I ask, "where is Kayla?" He puts one hand up like he is shrugging.
*After every nap we find him without his pants and socks.
*When he wants to be held he will sit at your feet swatting your leg over and over until you pick him up.
*When he hears someone come in the door he stops what he is doing and shoots up one arm as if he is saying hi.
Kayla:
*I know, I know I say it ever single months but she love babies and role playing. Her teacher at church told us that she has never seen a toddler who loves babies as much as Kayla does. She also likes to play like she is folding laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping and restaurant.
*One day she upstairs putting all her babies to bed in different rooms of the house. I was trying to find a quiet place to have a phone conversation but she kicked me out of every room I went into because she had a baby sleeping in them all. So I tried sitting on the couch in the loft and I got kicked off there because sure enough she turned it into a baby's bed.
*She has two little friends in the nursery at church that she talks about. Sydney and Leah.
*She has really gotten into reading this month. She will sit and look at books for quite some time.
Joshua:
* His mind never takes a break from building and creating.
*He loves to wrestle and pretend his is a dinosaur or other furious animal.
*His teacher at church told me this month that he is very respectful. I love hearing that!
*He likes to ask questions like, "who would win in a race, a cheetah or a wolf?"
We had our first big snow this month.
The night the snow moved in. J was so excited to get out there and sled.
Playing in the snow on the deck the first night it started. Levi enjoying from the comfort of his warm home.
Hot chocolate on our first big snow day.
Sledding with the neighborhood boys down the hill in the cul-de-sac.
Snow bunny.
We took the kids sledding and as you can see Bear came with us. Perfect for her to nuzzle her face and keep her warm.
She giggled the whole way down the hill.
All bundled up for the Star Lighting.
I love that in Colorado we can have a big blizzard one day and then go outside a few days later and play in that snow in 50 degree weather just a few days later.
Hammering golf tees into a pumpkin.
View from my deck. Before if got really cold these two spent countless hours in this spot building and snake hunting.
Joshua is trying to build a tent using a trash bag and golf tees to stake it down (all his idea).
Movie night (Charlotte's Web) wile Daddy was at the Broncos game.
Daddy brought the kids souvenir from the game...ha-ha!
Work appreciation dinner for Daniels work at Sports Authority Field. (D sure spent a lot of time there this month)
He has discovered magazines this month. He grabbed a magazine and gave Kayla one then told her, "lets act like we are busy."
Loving on his newest cousin.
Levi put this remote here and if you know Joshua then you know that according to this picture, Levi is following in his big bro's footsteps.
Showing the kids why we floss our teeth with Legos, playdoh and some floss.
Bear running errands with us.
J drew these symmetrical pictures after learning about symmetry.
Story Time with Mr. Cliff. Mr. Cliff is the best. Kayla just loves him!
All on his own he decided to see how many little rocks it would take to lift the large rock.
Releasing our butterflies that we hatched.
The kids recorded what the butterflies looked like during each stage. I was impressed with Joshua's drawing of a butterfly.
Packing our Operation Christmas Child boxes. The kids loved shopping for their "friends" and never asked to buy something for themselves.
Daniel got Bronco tickets from work as a way of saying "good job." It was my first game and it was a blast.
I quickly noticed that we were sitting right in front of the owners box. I took this selfie to capture Mrs. Bowlen in the background.
Monkeying around at Monkey Bizness.
He is fearless and determined.
At the grand opening of a cupcake shop in town. Isn't this the cutest little swing?!
And I thought I was a busy mom!!!
Such a snuggly boy. I love how he tucks his arms underneath.
Joshua loves playing Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, and Hi-Ho Cheerios.
Reading on of her favorite books.
He walked around with this bag on his back saying he was going to Kansas City. His map is in his hands.
I took Kayla with me to our little neighborhood gym for the first time. Right across the workout room is a playroom for the kids. She found herself a baby and was content as cold be pushing her around while I worked out.
He is such a climber and explorer.
