Father's Day

This year I got Flag Day confused with Father's Day.  The kids and I were all ready to celebrate Daddy the week before Father's Day when Daniel told us it wasn't Father's Day.  "OOOPPS."  We went ahead and celebrated the best Daddy anyway and jokingly referred to it as Fake Father's Day.

Kayla Giving Daddy his card.  She was so sweet and knew that day was a special day for her Daddy.  She would randomly tell him, "Happy Father's Day" all giggly like.

His golf card.  The front says, "You're the best Dad by par!!!"

I love what Joshua wrote in his card...

Dear Daddy,

We love you too much!  I  like going to the park with you.  I wish you always stayed home.  You're the best Daddy because you go to work and pay money so we can live in this house."

Happy Fake Father's Day to one of the best Dads around. You are patient, kind, super fun and a great example to these three little people that God entrusted you us. We think you're pretty awesome and we all love you mucho!!!  I pray that my boys are just like him and that my girl marry some one just like him!

The following week, you know, the real Father's Day, we went over to Anna and Andrew's house for a yummy brunch to celebrate another awesome Dad!

The signature pose.  Joshua is so not impressed.

We are blessed with some pretty great Dads in our lives including my own Dad and Step Dad.
