I can hardly believe that Kayla is a year old! She is growing up too fast! She is the sweetest and most content baby ever.
Here is an update on the birthday girl...
*Well Baby Stats
- Head 17 3/4 inches
- Height 28 1/4 inches (25%)
- Weight 18lbs 1 oz (25%)
Kayla and her admirers during her 12 month check up.
*She spends her days...- Eating- this girl eats well! She is like the bottomless pit when it comes to solids. Sometimes after meal time she circles the table picking up crumbs. The other night she started crying as she was doing her rounds and I honestly think it was because she couldn't find anymore crumbs to eat.
- Sleeping- she takes two naps that average about 2-2.5 hours long.
- Crawling- she is always on a mission and that mission seems to be getting into things she isn't suppose to. She is a fast mover.
- Playing- Forget her baby toys, she would much rather play with Joshua's toys.
- Crying-GOTCHA! This girl hardly ever cries.
*When we tell her she is going night night she waves to whoever is in the room and says, "bye-bye."
*She will wave to you when you say hi or bye.
*She really enjoys being outside. We go to the park often and she has so much fun on the swings.
*She adores he big brother. Some mornings when she hears him in his bedroom she looks in the direction of his room and makes an "O" sound. She gets so excited when she sees him. She kicks her little legs, smiles so big, and reach out to him. When Joshua gives her a hug she always pats him on the head.
* She loves animals of any kind and makes this cute excited sound when she sees any.
Joshua helped himself and Kayla to a little snack.
Joshua builds roads and she crawls on them. She smiles and giggles the whole time she is crawling on these blocks.
Putting bath letters on the wall.
She tries to put things on her head like its a headband.
Her favorite toy lately is a bowl and spoon. It keeps her entertained for a very long time!
Just helping herself to some strawberries.
Her napping buddies. When we lay her down in her crib she lays
on her bear like a pillow while baby lays next to her and then she starts kicking her feet.
Getting a push from big brother.
She is almost always missing gone sock.
Playing in Joshua's fort.
"OHH, sand, don't mind if I do."
And in the mouth it goes. Repeat three more times until mom
finally had to take the sand away.
When you ask her where her tongue is she sticks it out and moves it all around. When you stick your tongue out she will touch it and then laugh.
