Kayla's First Dip in the Pool

Since Kayla loves the bath so much we couldn't wait to take her swimming and let her splash to her hearts content. 

 

Of course they called a safety break right as we were ready to get in. 

My crew waiting ever so patiently for them to blow the whistle.

 

Kayla spotted the water!  "WATER!"

 

"What is that bubbly thing?"

 

"Can I touch it?"

 

"Dad says, 'yes.'"

 

 

Splash splash!

 

 Meanwhile, Joshua had a blast going down the water slide over and over all by himself. 

 

I wish these next two pictures weren't blurry.  The look on his face as he comes down the slide is pure delight! 

 

 

After we played in the kiddie pool for a while we took the kids into the big pool where Joshua practiced his swimming and Kayla just absorbed everything going on.  We did some of the holding techniques we learned in Joshua's swimming lessons with Kayla and so far she seems really comfortable in the water.  We might just have two fishies on our hands come this summer!
