Kayla's 4 Month Update

Oh my sweet Kayla girl, you are 4 months old already and I wish time would slow down just a little bit.  I am savoring every minute of your babyhood because I know in a blink of an eye you will be an active toddler running around the house.

You are so such a sweet, content, low maintenance baby.  You are happy as can be laying on the floor playing with your feet.  I love your little smiles and the happy faces you give me.

Here is what you are doing at 4 months old...

Stats:
Weight- 13 lbs 14 oz (50%)
Height: 24.5 inches (50%)
Head circumference: 16 1/8 inches (50%-75%)

*You nurse 4-5 times a day and take 3, sometimes 4 naps a day.
* You squeal, blow bubbles, talk, smile and have started giggling.
*You smile when you see Joshua and really like to watch him play.  When you are laying on your back you will strain your neck to find him.
*You roll from tummy to back and back to tummy.
* Aunt Brooke told me, "I accidentally poked her in the eye and she didn't even cry."  Yep, that pretty much sums up your personality.  You are easy going and not much upsets you.  We were at a BBQ one afternoon and even though you missed your last nap of the day you didn't make a peep.
And now for some pictures from this past month.
Such a happy, happy baby.

Just like your brother you love books.  You sit in my lap and kick your feet and look at the pictures as I read.  You also enjoy looking at books during tummy time.

"Can you please turn the page?"

You like playing with, and sometimes, chewing on your feet.

You love sucking on your hands, burp cloth, blankets, and anything else that you happen to be able to grab.

Starting to spend a little time in the Bumbo chair.

Your brother thinks you are the greatest!  My favorite is when you tells you, "you look so pretty, Kayda!"

Daddy and Joshua cheering you on during tummy time.

You are a finger sucker and have recently started trying really hard to suck your thumb.

We are looking forward to watching you grow and learn more about the world around you in the coming months!
