Marry Well Ladies

A few weekends ago Daniel and Joshua traveled up to Daniel's Grandpa's house to celebrate his 90th b-day with the whole extended family.  I was told that since my labor was pretty fast with Joshua that they didn't feel comfortable with me traveling three hours away for the night this far into my pregnancy.  I was bummed I couldn't see everyone but I didn't want to take any chances; especially after learning that the small town didn't even have a maternity ward.

So off they went for two days and one night.  Joshua is easily overwhelmed by large crowds and doesn't like to be out of his own environment for too long.  I really wonder where he gets that from?  Oh no wait, I TOTALLY know where he gets that from... his Mama!   I get homesick very easily.  To top it all off he wasn't feeling well.  Mix those two things and what do you end up with?  A very whinny and clingy baby.  Of course it doesn't help that he didn't sleep well while there either.  Daniel literally held him the whole time.  He had the start of a cold while they were there and some diarrhea which caused a bad rash. On the way home he was saying, "Butt hurts." When we changed his diaper after the car ride his poor bottom had a rash that was bleeding. Poor thing!

Daniel was constantly sending me text updates on how my sick boy was doing.  While it absolutely broke my heart that I couldn't be there to comfort him I know that he was in the absolute best hands possible.  Joshua has such a great Daddy.  He is so loving and patient and knows just how to take care of him.  That puts this Mama's heart at ease when she can not be with her boy.  Different family members kept telling me how good Daniel was with him and I know they are absolutely right.

My sick boy being loved on by Daddy!

Papa's turn to get some cuddles from the sweet, sick boy
so Daddy can have a little break.

Daniel is a great husband and great dad!  He takes such great care of both of us.  He is so loving, patient, and kind and did I mention patient?  I knew he would be a great Dad but he is even greater than I could have ever imagined.

So, to my single friends, of course it is important that you marry a man that is going to treat you well but please think into the future of when you have kids and make sure that not only will he be a great husband but a terrific Dad as well.  Trust me, that is very, very important.

I couldn't have married any better!
