April

Braiding hair while watching Kayla play Volleyball.  What a good big cousin he is.

Showing off their shaved heads.

Levi's irrigation system he made.

Told Levi to refill the TP basket- Oh my, what a jokester.

Happy Easter!

Levi again...told him to take out the trash.

Had to get 2 teeth pulled to make some room. He was a champ!

They joined me for my morning workout.

Family fun day at Slick City.

While J and K were at a movie night at church Levi got some one on one time with Mom and Dad.  Since we couldn't decide on a flavor we each got to pick one.

Levi was Benjamin Franklin for Cloverleaf's wax museum.

Well, that's one way to hold your cards.

Kayla and Levi both participated in their first piano competition. They had to memorize 2 songs and play them for a judge. Kayla did amazing and was selected to go on to play in the honors concert. Levi struggled with his songs and ended up needing to play with his music, which disqualified him from competing. He was very bummed. However, I am SO proud of him for seeing it through. Once it became clear that he was not going to be ready in time to compete he continued to practice anyway and never gave up. While I am incredibly proud of Kayla and how hard she worked, her self motivation and discipline, and practicing every day without being reminded, I am mostly proud of what she did after she found out she was selected for the honors concert. She immediately made Levi a #1 sign and wrote him a sweet card. Character matters and how you win is just as important as how you lose. I don't want my kids to be THE best, I just want them to be THEIR best. So proud of both of them!

Listening in on Levi playing for the judge at the DEMTA Festival.
