We took a family trip to the Sand Dunes and had an AMAZING time. The kids are at such a fun age for family trips. We don't have to worry about naps, they can hang just fine after going to bed late, they can hike without whining to be carried, the list goes on. My favorite part of our family adventures is hearing them talk about the memories made for weeks and weeks afterwards.
What a fun adventure. The drive to get to the base of the hike was a crazy, rocky ride, 1/2 mile hike and the hardest but most fun part was crossing this freezing cold stream (while trying to stay dry and not slip off the rocks into the water) to get to the waterfall. The kids did amazing. I was so impressed. They were all so brave.
This cake was incredible. I would go back just to get it again. We all 5 shared it and we still had left overs.
Trying to teach Levi to use his arms when he swims.
Getting ready to sand board down.
Sand angel.
The walk back up.
Joshua tackling the bigger hills.
They were very diligent to wax their board in between each use.
Levi didn't want his picture taken so he tried to hide behind the board...see his hat??
Such a fun and memorable trip. We are all looking forward to going back next year!
