This little girl is seriously the sweetest girl ever! If I could bottle up her sweetness and give it away the world would be a much better place.
She always jumps at an opportunity to help out. She loves helping and does so much with out being asked. When we are cleaning up our outside toys she will clean up hers and then start putting Levi's toys away for him.
Her voice and tone is just so sweet and loving. She randomly laid her head on Daniels arm and said, "you're so special." One day when he came home from work he was looking over the deck watching the kids play. When Kayla noticed him she said, "I'm going to come give you a hug." Her favorite story in the Bible is Joseph. One night while Daddy was reading it to her she said, "I wish I was in the Bible because then I would help him." When someone in the house gets hurt she doesn't hesitate to let them hold her special lovie bear. She has so much compassion.
She has such a zest for life and so much gratitude. Once during dinner she declared of her provolone cheese, "I love this cheese because it is whiiiitte annnnnd so pretty!" Another time she told me, "I love what you packed for me. What is it?" She didn't even know what it was but she sure was thankful for it.
And toys? Forget about toys, this girl does not need any toys to keep herself busy. She has such a great imagination. She uses whatever she has and pretends it is whatever it is she needs. The other day her and I had a pretend b-day party and I don't think we used any items for their intended purpose. We used a bag as a cake, a plastic lid for a plate, a dress up shoe as a spoon, fly swatter (clean one) as a knife to cut our cake. She uses baskets for baby beds, tote lids on a chair to make a high chair and uses the baby swing as on oven to bake her rock goodies in. The swing makes a perfect oven because the buckle part flips down and up like an oven door.
She has a heart of pure gold and is always sharing her things. When the ditch near our house gets mowed the kids like to hike around it finding treasures (old toys that have fallen down the drain). During our most recent trip Kayla found two small balls. Levi really wanted one and wasn't satisfied with all the golf balls we had found. Kayla all on her own gave him one of her balls and then decided to give Joshua the other one without expecting anything in return.
Daniel and I say to each other on a daily basis, "she couldn't be any cuter or sweeter." She is such a light in our family!
Here she is camping...in a box.
