A few signs of summertime in house are...
*the smell of chlorine fills my home
*the sght of swim suits, goggles, and swim towels drapped over furniture
*it isn't unusal for me to turn a corner in my home and find a neighborhood kid standing there.
*sticky door knobs from popsicles
*sand and tiny pebbles from the play area are all over the house
Fun things about the kids from this month...
Levi:
*When you ask him, "Levi, where are you going?" He responds with, "Ummm." And then giggles.
* Loves cars and trains. For a while there he was going to sleep with a couple cars or trains. When I would try to lay him down without one he would pitifully cry, "choo-choo."
*When I tell him something he respionds with the cutest, "why?" He will also respond with a sweet "what?" when he hears me get frustrated.
*He is talking more and more. Some funny things he says is uh-uh means yes and dada is water. When he sees something he wants he tells me, "want one."
*He is into telling me to "watch" before he does a trick. Daniel and I laugh that this is going to be our future with him. Watch this Mom and Dad and then he is going to do some crazy, brave trick.
*Most fruits and vegetables he refers to as a nana (banana).
*A conversation I have with him throughout the day goes like this...
Levi- "Momma!"
Me- "What?"
Levi- "Ummm" and then he laughs and repeats. Stinker!
Joshua:
*Loves spending time making animal traps.
*I can not get over how he likes to eat raw onions and raw garlic. Love it!
*While palying outside Joshua picked a flower and gave it to the neighbor gilr instead of me!!!! NO!!!! It is too soon for that.
Kayla:
*While talking about lower case and upper case letters Kayla, all on her own, started referring to them as Mommy letters and Baby letters. So her!
*If you read my blog you know she loves her babies and playing house. She has started playing pretend babies. When we are out and about and she doesn't have a real doll with her she just pretends. So cute!
*She is so compassionate. We read a book about a girl who loses her lovie and the lovie tries to make his way back to the girl. She gets so concerned with what is going to happen next and peoples feelings and so on.
Uh???
Trying to make chalk paint by crushing up chalk and adding water. All jsohua's idea.
Sydney got her permit and drove us to the Springs to have lunch with my Step Dad. I was really nervous but she is an excellent driver!
So proud!
Can't quite reach across the table.
Enjoying an afternoon thunderstorm.
More thunderstorm watching with my boys. In an effort to teach Levi that thunder isn't scary we clap everytime we hear a bang. Now that is what he does.
Breakfast on the deck.
Joshua is getting ganged up on.
Levi's support team.
Okay so this cracked me up. One morning J was asking to play with friends. I told him it was too early but he could go play by himself outside. When I went to check on him this is what I found, him sitting on our pillar and the neighbor boy sitting on his while J tells him everything he knows about spider monkeys. I guess technically they weren't playing.
With my first child I had rules about how to neatly play with shaving cream. By the third I give them a can and say, "have fun!"
Kayla likes joining us for the worship part of church.
Date with Mom. Hiking the incline.
Snack time at the top.
We made it!
Summertime means my kids can be found in their swim gearat 8am wating for the pool to open.
Joshua's truck has suddenly become Kayla's. She has traded in her small on for Jshuas. She is happy to give him rides though.
He is so creative.
Levi giving his buddy a little push.
It doesn't get cuter than this!
Working hard on their projects.
Working hard making traps.
He will almost always stop what he is doing and smile for the camera. HAM!
Making dino boats...see creative.

Daddy ran into the store with the two others real fast...he was not happy he was left behind.
Kayla and all her kids.
Making flags for snack.
"Levi, look at the ant." Does this every time. He loves ants and bugs which he calls buck.
Zoo day.
J and his map of the zoo and scavenger hunt all ready to go. If you look closely he taped a marker on the map so he could fill out his scavenger hunt.
