Update on the kiddies:
Joshua:
*Joshua is into nicknames. He has nicknamed Levi "Lee."
*Really into numbers. Almost everyday he asks what is bigger than a million, what is bigger than a billion and so on. He breaks up his graham crackers into a small little pieces and tells me he has a trillion crackers. He told me he is going to love me for a gagillian days.
Creating numbered ice cream cones.
*He likes tracing his hand and is really good at it.
*His idea of playing is setting up/building/creating things and then leaving them for days, weeks and sometimes months. We don't touch or play with his master pieces, they are just for looks.
Kayla:
*She is talking, talking, talking and her little voice is so sweet and cute. Her new phrase this month is, "two um" (two of them when she has more than one of something).
*She is figuring out plurals. One day she was trying to tell me that Joshua took her crackers and she said, "Josh-Josh cracker....../s/."
*When I ask her to do something she will sometimes reply, "can't" or "mommy can." For example, I asked her if she could give Levi a toy and she said, "can't."
My little climbing girl at Monkey Business. Joshua was so sweet as he would climb to the top and then wait for his sister to catch up with him. If you look ever so closely you can see him at the top waiting.
Sharing her snack with all of her friends. This was all her by the way.
Joshua attempting to do the monkey bars.
View from my car. Once we turn on to our street
the kids love to get out and race me home.
The weather has been so nice and we take
advantage of it by eating lunch outside most days.
Piggy back rides from big brothers are the best!
We started potty training Kayla this month. She has no problem sitting on and going on her potty...when she wants to. She even randomly tell me she has to go and when we put her on she does go. The problem is that she never wants to stop playing to go and it becomes a huge battle. This one has a strong opinion about things. I just don't have the time or energy for this right now. I have enough battles to fight right now... more important ones. We tried for a while but she just wouldn't budge in her stubbornness. She just continued to go when SHE wanted to go. So I am just like, whatever man. As I have said before, no one went to college in diapers. She will figure it out when she wants to and if not, well then her husband can change her diapers ;)
Enjoying snow ice cream.
Joshua had all the neighborhood kids over to make one of his favorite things....snow slush.
Trying to sneak a bite of bird seed....yummy!
Kayla is really into cooking.
She loves when daddy throws her, "too high."
We couldn't find her bear one night so she got to sleep
with Levi's monkey. Nothing sweeter than sleeping babies.
I told Joshua to draw a picture of his family. This was the first time I asked him to draw any sort of portrait. This was his final product and I was so impressed. The one in the middle is him. Right before this activity he was counting all his owies and told me he had 100 owies. So he drew himself with all his owies. He said, "that's a hurt Joshua."

She loves picking me flowers.
The kids had so much fun at the kite festival. When I asked Kayla what her favorite part was she squealed, "Kites!!!"
When we asked her how high the kites were she said, "too high."
Joshua's favorite part was when his kite got away from Uncle Andrew and he ran after it.
After we lost J's kite he was stuck flying his sister's Hello Kitty Kite. As you can tell though, he didn't mind.
Omah and Papa took the kids to family day at Papa's work.
While I was feeding Levi Joshua asked if he could get a snack. I said yes. So he used that blue thing as a stool to get a snack, then to climb on the counter to get bowls for him and Kayla. I walked in on them enjoying their little snack on the floor. I love how mature, independent, and helpful he is.
Kayla's best neighborhood friend, Jacqueline. At night I sing her a song about all the people who love her. I go through our family and list everyone's name. "Mommy loves Kayla. Daddy loves Kayla" etc. She likes to tell me whose names to say and she always names Jacqueline.
Kayla's other best friend, Kristen who is our next door neighbor. When she sees Kristin outside she always goes over to talk to her. When Kristin is around and Kayla needs help she wants Kristin to help not Mommy.
We celebrated lots of b-days this month; Papa's, Aunt Sydney's, and mine.
When you live near family sometimes the celebrating last all week.
We started my b-day celebrations with dinner and dessert at Dan's Mom and Dad's.
Love how Levi is eyeing the dessert.
Then the next day Daniel and I had a fun date night eating sushi, batting cages and hiking.
About to hike the incline stairs.
The next night we were suppose to celebrate Sydney and my b-day together with my family but poor Kayla girl got sick with a stomach bug.
This was minutes after the first picture was taken. She took a 2.5 hour nap, was up 50 minutes and then was out again.
The day she got sick she slept in really late and was just out of it when she woke up. Before I really knew she was sick (I suspected but was in denial) we went and checked out a new walking trail a couple miles from our house. When we got him I ran quick put Levi down for nap and Joshua came running in the house yelling, "Kayla threw up." This was her first time to throw up and of course it was in the car. Those darn car seats are nearly impossible to clean. As I was cleaning Kayla up I heard Joshua just start praying for her. Oh my heart!
And one last picture of my sweet babies...
