We have a Christmas count down calendar that Joshua moved every morning and every morning I would point to the 21st and tell Joshua that when our snowman gets to that day we are going to go to Holyoke. So when I went in to his room to get him up the morning we were leaving the first thing he said to me was, "It's Holyoke time!" He was so excited. As we were getting ready to leave he said, "Grandpa is saying, 'where is Joshua?'" He also told me, "we have to go move our snowman!"
I packed a bag full of activities for the three hour car ride and for the most part both kids did really well. Kayla started fussing towards the end of the trip. When I put my hand back to comfort her she started yanking on it as if to say, "PLEASE! Get me out of my car seat."
When Kayla was getting fussy Joshua gave her his tractor to play with. This tractor calmed her right down and kept her entertained for the rest of the trip. She was happy as a clam playing with her big brother's toy.
Aunt Joan and Kayla.
Kayla Army Crawled right on over to say hi to Grandpa.
Joshua eating his left over Mac N Cheese from Chili's while watching everyone play cards. He kept saying, "This is Mac and Cheese from the restaurant."
Wearing Mom's boots with stuffed animals in the boots, his pants and his shirt.
Morning coffee with Aunt Anna.
Kayla's silly scrunch face.
Joshua lined all these dogs up to make a train then laid at the end to be the caboose.

Opening his present from Grandpa.
We started out Christmas Eve Morning with just our family. We did stalking's first.
Trying out his new scissors.
Then breakfast. Yummy homemade cinnamon rolls with strawberry and kiwi.
Then we opened gifts.
Joshua was so much fun to watch open presents. He would get so excited!
When he opened his trumpet he said, "A trumpet like Omah's!"
Around noon my Mom and sisters came over. We played games, had dinner and exchanged gifts.
Christmas song Pictionary.
Kiss...
....wiping it off.
Kayla reorganizing my Christmas tree while we open gifts.
"Hey, you guys forgot a present."
Joshua handed people their gifts and say, "Merry Christmas." Then when I gave him a gift to open he responded with, "Merry Christmas!" So sweet!
Sydney and her money train. Joshua was helping her pull all the bills out saying, "Choo-choo!"
Play dough with the Aunties!
Attacking Aunt Sydney from up high.
Watching our Efl Yourself videos and craking up.
Christmas Morning we headed over to Omah and Papa's house after Kayla's morning nap. We spent two days one night there playing games and having a good time just being with family.
Kayla loved playing with Aspen! When she would spot Aspen across the room she would book it to get over to her.
Kayla learned how to clap on Christmas Eve so she spent most of Christmas Eve and Christmas randomly clapping. It was SO cute!
GG's guard dog.
Joshua got a life size Poor Dog from Aunt Anna and Uncle Andrew.
Dog pile!
Ensuring no one sees their cards.
Joshua loved Omah and Papa's train.
And so did Kayla.
She also liked playing in the fake snow.
And the tree.
We had a very Merry Christmas indeed! We are blessed beyond words!
Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
