Kayla is one month old

Kayla is one month old!  Before she was born we couldn't imagine a life colored with pink and bows but now that is here with us we can't imagine life without this precious girl!

She is one loved little girl with a very protective big brother!  Joshua loves doing tummy time with her, can often be found putting his arm around her and just loves holding her on the Boppy.  Multiple times a day he says, "hold her, Boppy." 

 

I love that Joshua is already so protective of Kayla.  Whenever some one else is holding her he says while on the verge of tears, "Mama hold her!  Mama hold her."  He does a little better when it is family members holding her but he absolutely does not like people he is not very familiar with holding her.  I think it is so adorable!

First trip to the zoo.  She wasn't at all impressed. 

 

Joshua helping with her first bath.  And by helping I mean pouring water on the counter and then using his rag to spread it all over ;)  He also likes to help put lotion on her when she is done.  Kayla enjoys her baths much more now then she did at first.

*From day one she has been a great nurser.  She gets in and gets out pretty fast and she burps like a sailor!



*She *usually* does a 4 hour stretch at night then 3-3.5 hours after that.  She eats every 2.5-3 hours during the day. 

*Most days I am able to get both my babies to nap at the same time!

*She is such a content baby!  I love watching her during her alert periods during the day. 

I am looking forward to watching Miss Kayla grow and interact more and more with the world around her!
