Meet Joshua's Lulu and Lala

Several months ago Daniel and Joshua watched a football game at Daniel's parents house while I stayed home and napped (first trimester exhaustion).  When they got back I was talking to Joshua about where he went and who he saw. I asked him if he saw Uncle Andrew to which Joshua replied "Lulu" and from that point on Uncle Andrew has become Lulu.

Shorty after naming Uncle Andrew Lulu he started calling his aunt Anna (Andrew's wife) Lala. Which gets very confusing sometimes because lala is also what he calls his water.  It isn't unusual for Joshua to start saying "lala" and when I hand him his water he says, "no."  That is when I know he is asking for his Aunt Anna.

I could not have come up with those two nicknames myself.  So funny!

Joshua sure is lucky to have Lulu and Lala.  They are so good to him.  Lala nurtures him, plays with him and is just so kind and gentle with him.  Lulu is always making sure that no one is feeding Joshua anything that he isn't suppose to be eating, always lets us know when he needs a diaper change (one day he will change a diaper), and is always the first one to pop up to go get Joshua from a nap.

They are wonderful babysitters and take such great care of him so we can get out and have a night to ourselves.  Joshua always has such a good time with them.

On more than one occasion Joshua and I have had a conversation like this:

Joshua: "Lulu?"
Me:  "Lulu is at work.
Joshua: "Lala?"
Me: "Lala is at work too."

I love that he loves his family and thinks about them when they aren't around.

Lulu and Lala were one of our first visitors in the
hospitals (they came with Omah and Papa).

Joshua gets to hang out and watch Bronco games
almost every Sunday with them!

Lulu takes playtime very seriously sometimes.

Joshua really does love his Lulu and Lala.  He is not only blessed to have them in his family but blessed that they live so close and are able to be apart of his life on a regular basis.  I can't wait to watch his relationship with them blossom more and more as he gets older.
