What a fabulous first Mother's Day I had.
The original plan was to have a picnic and do some hiking but the weather didn't hold up so instead we hung out at Daniel's Mom and Dad's house. We had lunch, did a little Mother's Day devotional, played a game, tried catching Nerf bullets with our mouths (HAHA!) but mostly we were entertained by Joshua.
Afterwards, we went and spent some time with my Mom.
My absolute favorite part of the day was receiving Joshua's card. Daniel helped him write "I love you" and then let him scribble with markers. Melt my heart! It's funny how before you are a Mom you don't really understand such sentiments. Seriously, this card meant so much to me and will probably hang on our fridge forever!
Here is Joshua giving me my card.
I just love this picture of Joshua and GG.
Getting some QT with Aunt Anna and Uncle Andrew.
Joshua and his Omah.
What a ham that little boy is.
Happy Mother's Day!
Oma and Papa have the neatest Nerf guns that shoot out soft foam discs. They are seriously the best toy for young kids. All the little cousins always have such a blast playing with them. They are so much fun that Daniel and Andrew still enjoy shooting each other with them. Today Joshua was introduced to all the fun and he absolutely loved it! Not only did he think it was funny when Oma shoot his Daddy but he thought it was hilarious when Daddy would shoot him. Here are some pictures and a video.
Helping Oma load the gun.
Cracking up at Oma shooting Daddy.
Joshua obviously thinks this game is pretty funny!
Hanging out at Mimi's house.
Here I am last Mother's Day. Whew, just looking at this makes me tired. I can't beleive I played kickball in this condition. LOL!
And here I am this Mother's Day. Oh how my heart is full and how I am truly blessed beyond words.
